Ivory & Lace vendor video

I met up with Rachel, owner of Ivory & Lace, in April to talk about wedding dress shopping, Ivory & Lace, and some advice for brides-to-be. I saved the video so I could include it in the Bride Tribe series I am working to publish each Friday. It was so great getting to spend some time with her and check out her amazing boutique. Her shop is located in Warrensburg, Mo., and they have served over 250 brides in their 3+ years of business.

Rachel said she prides herself on their customer service and meeting with each bride one-on-one. In the video, she walks through her appointment process, and explains how she approaches helping a bride find her perfect dress. Watch the video to get to know more about Ivory & Lace, and how to prepare for wedding dress shopping. 🙂

What to know before your appointment

Rachel touches on a few things in the video, but I couldn’t include everything from our interview in the video or it would be fifteen minutes long!

  • A really important one would definitely be to know your budget.
  • Most wedding dresses have build in bras, so the strapless bra/nude bra will only be needed with vintage dresses
  • Bring spanks! Rachel said they help the dresses lay smoother, and help the brides stand up straighter, which is always a good thing.

Advice for the new bride

Rachel suggested not rushing things, and to take your time. She only had a six-month engagement, and said that allowing yourself around a year to get everything planned makes the whole process much less stressful. On that note, definitely allow yourself time to go find your dress and get it ordered because a lot of them take months to come in!

What do you think?

How did you like my first vendor video?! I have one for a florist coming up soon, but what other wedding vendors would you like to know more about and/or need advice from? Check out the “What to get in touch?” info below and let me know what you think. 🙂
