Baby Clark’s arrival | Warrensburg, Mo. birth photography

“It’s just so surreal,” she said while holding her son for the first time. “I can’t believe he’s here.” He smiled down at his wife and son. He was gently rubbing her arm, kissing his wife’s head, and talking in a soft voice to his baby boy telling him how happy he was. Dark hair and alert, wide open eyes looked back at them while he continued to exercise his healthy lungs.

Stephanie and Chris welcomed their little boy to the world on a chilly Friday in February. She was induced the afternoon before, and by late Friday morning – just before noon – she was ready to push. The emotion and excitement in the room was palpable. Stephanie’s mom, Suzette, was with them in the delivery room. Their doctor was great at coaching Stephanie through the contractions and pushing, making sure Stephanie knew how amazing she was the entire time. Stephanie was able to touch the baby’s head and pull him out when it was time. Chris cut the umbilical cord. Their little baby boy had arrived. 🙂

Stephanie and Chris, thank you so much for allowing me to capture such an emotional and amazing part of your journey as parents. Your little boy is so lucky to have you both, and I have loved getting to know you all. Baby Clark’s arrival was such an incredible thing to witness, and I can’t thank you enough for trusting me to be a part of it.
