What I love most about weddings

There’s something magical about a wedding day. The excitement in the air, and the way all of the planning comes together just makes each wedding day incredible and unique. I love the entire wedding day, but wanted to highlight a few of my favorite things. What I love most about weddings isn’t ground-breaking or earth-shattering, but they are the parts of the day that make me smile and love what I do.

The way the bride and groom look at each other all day

It’s no secret that I love love. When photographing a couple on their wedding day, the way they look at each other is without a doubt what I love most about weddings. This couple who has decided to spend their lives together, who has been planning for months, finally gets to spend time together enjoying each others company. I love the looks of love, joy and excitement on a bride and grooms face as we capture those precious moments from their day.

The details

Details on a wedding day are so fun and unique to each bride. All the little pieces come together to help tell the story of the day. Photographing details will forever be one of my favorite things. It’s so great to see the personality of the couple shines through on a day that is all about them.

That moment they say “I do”

They did it! The whole reason for the day – the couple is finally married! Oh the celebrating, the joy and the feeling of “finally.” When my couples get to say “I do,” it’s such a monuments occasion. Although, now that I think about it, what I love most about weddings could be a toss-up between getting to say “I do” and kissing the bride before being presented for the first time. 🙂
