Thankful for this Thanksgiving | Thanksgiving 2017

As I sit here drinking my coffee (and eating Poptarts) while a pumpkin pie bakes in the oven (and Justin plays video games) on this Thanksgiving morning, I can’t help but reminisce about all the things I am thankful for this year. The dogs are wrestling about, and all is good here on the home front. Our lives may not be Instagram perfect, but I think they are perfect for us. For that, I am grateful.

My husband

Justin is amazing, and I am so incredibly thankful to get to spend my life with him. I love how in sync we seem to be, and getting to just hang out with him is one of my favorite things. He is definitely something I am thankful for today and everyday.

Our family

Spending the holidays with them is one of my favorite things. It’s definitely something I am grateful for always. However, with Watson being so young, I am spending most of the day at home while Justin and his brother go to their sister’s house in Springfield for lunch. So I am missing a bit of family time this year, unfortunately.

Our fur babies

Banner and Watson may be rascals, but they are our rascals and for that I am thankful. So far they have enjoyed running around outside and taking naps on the couch. I love these two little fur balls.

Faith, food, and freedom

I am thankful for God, and the grace He gives me. I am grateful for the food to nourish my body, on this day and all of the days. And, lastly but certainly not least, I am thankful for the freedoms we have in this country.
