Sydney + Luke

An October wedding at Eagle Bluff Ranch

A cool, fall morning with some slight drizzles became the most gorgeous day for Sydney and Luke. Their October wedding at Eagle Bluff Ranch was breathtaking. I just adore the view at this venue! The weather was phenomenal, and though I am usually a fan of all the sunshine and gorgeous glow, the overcast day was perfect. I mean, just look at the river! This day was especially great because Sydney is Justin’s cousin, and I love photographing our family. 🙂

Sydney and Luke, like most 2020 couples, had to make some adjustments to their day. Their original wedding plans were for June 20 of this year, but with all things pandemic still in full swing, the couple opted for an intimate ceremony with immediate family only. We looked for silver linings, like Sydney getting to wear her dress twice and a more relaxed timeline during her big wedding day.

Originally, they were going to get married in the church and celebrate at Eagle Bluff Ranch. And, we were going to repeat the church ceremony this past weekend, but the couple selflessly gave up the church for other parishioners to be able to have a funeral. Sydney and Luke had their second ceremony outside at the venue instead, and it was lovely!

There were so many great sentimental details, like the bouquet wrap for Sydney’s flowers was made from extra fabric from her mother’s wedding dress. And, one of her aunts made her an apron to wear over her wedding dress (we were eating BBQ for dinner) from one of her grandma’s dresses. There were generational photos of Sydney’s family that were married at St. Paul’s Church, and photos on her bouquet of all those we were missing, Justin’s sister, Kylie, among them.

You guys, thank you so much for allowing us to capture your day. We had so much fun celebrating you all!! This October wedding at Eagle Bluff Ranch has my heart, and I hope you all love the images as much as I do. Your day was amazing, relaxed, and just such a joyous time. And, I hope your marriage is more beautiful than your wedding day, because that would be pretty dang gorgeous. 🙂
