We get married in less than three weeks (CRAZY, like SO CRAZY!! ๐ ) and then the Monday after that we are off to the airport to embark on our Italian Honeymoon. I have posted about our honeymoon before, and gave a bit of a rundown for where we will be going. Our goal is be be able to pack everything in just a carry-on and personal item each. So, my question for all of you is: What should we pack?!
Living 11 days out of one suitcase
We will have a travel day, three days in Rome, three days in Florence, three days in Venice, and then we travel back home. ย We have been picking things up over the last few months to try to prepare. Packing cubes, Ziplock travel space bags, power adapters, etc., but I am concerned about attire. We want to be comfortable, but still look nice and try to blend in a bit.
Attire for an Italian Honeymoon
So what does one wear for their Italian Honeymoon? We are both prepared to have to wear things a couple times, and I plan to pack mostly monochromatically so that things can be mix and matched as well as layered. I am opting for light layers, and comfortable shoes since we will be walking around a lot. I think we are pretty sent for the day-time activities, but I’m a little lost on what to pack for evenings if we go out. Dresses? Do I need to bring heels? What do you guys think? Any help you could give me in the comments would be so greatly appreciated!

Have loved watching your business and blog grow! I think you’ve got it down as far as packing… monochromatic, layers, comfortable shoes. When I studied abroad, we walked a LOT. I would not wear heels unless they are legitimately very comfortable (ex: I had some block-heeled booties that were comfortable for evenings out). I feel like everything is very nice but understated over there. Perhaps a black maxi dress and/or jeans with a nice top?
Nicole, thank you so much! I totally agree about the heels, and was maybe considering some wedge booties. I have a couple nice tops to bring for going out to eat, and think a maxi dress would be a great addition. I really appreciate your input., ๐
