My travel bucket list: Where I want to go and why

There is so much to see in this crazy, amazing, wonderful world and we only have one lifetime to experience it all. There’s so much I want to explore and it’s so hard to choose where I’d want to go most. I talk often of how much I love to travel. We’ve been to many places in the U.S., and Italy for our honeymoon, but I feel like that has only scratched the surface.

Mark Twain once said, “Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in you sail. Explore. Dream. Discover.” I feel like this could not be more true. There are so many places, both stateside and abroad, that I want to visit and explore. The list below is long, and I’m sure it’s incomplete.

The “why” in regards to where I want to go is more about how the idea of a place makes me feel. How does it feel so stand in place steeped in history and culture? To be surrounded by nature so vast and so grand you can only wonder about how great our God is? I want to explore a forest of Redwoods and the streets of Santorini. I want to experience the wonder of how large the Grand Canyon is and the history of London.

So where do you want to go? What do you want to see in this lifetime? I hope my list inspires you, and if you’ve been to some of the places below, please let me know how incredible they are. 🙂
