Missouri Summer Wedding | Gorgeous gray palette wedding at The Copper Penny | Clair + Taylor

I’m so excited to share this Missouri summer wedding at The Copper Penny with you today! I have loved getting to know Clair and Taylor in preparation for their day (their engagement session was so fun!), and I was so excited for their wedding! There’s something so special about weddings, and I love seeing how every couple makes their day their own.

Missouri summer wedding at The Copper Penny

It was a warm sunny day but not nearly as hot as August usually is in Missouri. We spent a lot of time outside in the back of the venue because the view was incredible and just kept getting better as the sunset. Clair and Taylor opted not to do a first look, and he saw her for the first time as she came down the aisle. It was so sweet.

Their day was full of so many personal details that really just highlighted how loved they are by all of their people. The ceremony was officiated by one of their close friends and he did an incredible job. Their families made the food and desserts. Clair’s cousin, Ashley, was the wedding coordinator and she was phenomenal.

Clair‘s mother Jenny was the florist, so the flowers were amazing!! And I was pumped because we did detail and getting ready photos at her house and there were tons of fresh blooms for me to play with! That is always so fun, and really helps to elevate the photos. Plus, I adored Clair’s shoes! Oh my goodness they were fun to photograph and just so pretty! Gah, I love detail photos.

I also enjoyed getting to use some light wrapping when taking all of our bridal party photos and some of the family formals outside so that we could try to appreciate the view from the venue while also keeping the sun out of everyone else’s eyes. These were taken early afternoon/evening and the sun doesn’t set until eight. This  is typical on a Missouri summer wedding day because you’re trying to utilize as much outside time as you can and you cannot cram all of the days photos into the golden hour. We definitely did sneak outside for some husband and wife sunset photos and that was so fun! I just love shooting during golden hour.

To Clair and Taylor, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! Your family is so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you all continue to grow together!

Enjoy this little peek into this sweet Missouri summer wedding!
