Midwest spring engagement session | KC wedding photographer | Abby + Holden

I’m so excited to share this midwest spring engagement session with you today! When Abby and Holden reached out about their wedding photos, I just couldn’t wait to work with them! There’s something so special about having an engagement session as a way to get to know each other before their big day! 

Midwest spring engagement session

It was a sunny, but windy, Friday evening when I met up with Abby and Holden for their engagement photos. These two were so much fun and such naturals in front of the camera. And their outfits!!! Oh man, did they just knock it out of the park. They are so sweet and I just love their smiles. 🙂 

Abby and Holden were engaged last July, and it’s one of the sweetest stories I’ve ever heard. They were looking at buying a house (and ended up buying from my aunt and uncle), and Holden took Abby to “look at furniture.” They went out to the backyard (which is gorgeous and has a beautiful lake/pond) and he told her he wanted to spend the rest of his life with her and got down on one knee! 

My favorite photos are some of the first ones we took near a white outbuilding at Abby’s parent’s house. I love how the light hit them while they were walking and how they pop off the neutral background! That golden hour glow is always *chef’s kiss* gorgeous. 

To Abby and Holden, thank you so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you! You are both so sweet, and it was great getting to know you guys better. I can’t wait to see you at your wedding!
