Micro Wedding Inspiration at Emerson Fields

This was my first time attending the Micro Wedding Retreat hosted by Trent Broglin Photography and Emily Broadbent Photography, and I LOVED IT SO MUCH! Trent and Emily did an amazing job working with Ashlee at SSD Events to curate this event to be bright, colorful and full of amazing details.

The retreat was broken up into a few parts – welcome and round 1 of photos, a break with some flat lay coaching, round 2 of photos and then dinner. We separated into groups of four or five and each had time at different stations. My group included Shelby, Whitney and Makenna. They were so much fun! 

There was also a headshot station where we were given the opportunity to have our photos taken. I had fully planned to take advantage of this until I didn’t go to bed until midnight, Wynn got up at five, my hair looked like I’d stuck my finger in an electrical socket and I spilled coffee all down the front of the shirt I’d planned on wearing. Over all though, I really do love the photos that were sent to me. 

The details at this shoot were a dream come true! So many florals, desserts, bridal details and just all around goodness. I felt like a kid in a candy store. When we were able to take outdoor portraits we had a vintage car for the bride and groom, and a puppy and some lambs to go with the other bride! 

At the end of the event, Amelia (the owner at Emerson Fields) said grace over the sit-down meal. The dinner was incredible, and there were so many deserts that we photographed earlier in the day – all of which were edible – and offered to us at the end of the night. 

I had so much fun, and loved participating in this Micro Wedding Retreat, and definitely hope to be back in the future!!
