This Maple Leaf Lake Conservation Area family session was my first family session with my new Canon camera, and I am IN LOVE! We have been meaning to take these photos since Austyn was 6 months old, but the weather and health and life just kept pushing things back. So here we are a month and a half later!I think it ended up working out really well, because the weather was awesome and we were able to be outside!
Although Austyn was having no part of me or my giant camera blocking my face, she would light up for her family. She is just so adorable, has such a sweet voice, and the best baby leg rolls. Austyn loves pretty much anything her big sister does, and thinks her mom singing her song is simply wonderful. Towards the end of the session she was talking more, and Jake said she whispers dada sometimes. Austyn also enjoyed being ornery and kept trying to pull Maely’s hair, and we had to keep an eye on her so she wouldn’t pull it while we were taking photos.
We could have done with less wind, but the sunshine was incredible! The road to the conservation area was closed, so we parked and walked to be able to take photos. When I was driving out there the wind blew the road closed sign over into the other lane RIGHT as I was driving past. I may have panic screamed. When I turned around I made sure the sign wasn’t in the road so that no one would get hurt.
Jake, Linds and the girls – thank you for continuing to allow me to capture this life for you! We are all in those stages that are moving and changing so quickly, and I will take any reason I can get to hang out with you guys for a bit. Your family is adorable, and amazing, and truly wonderful – and I’m so proud to call you all friends. I love you guys, and I hope you love your photos!
