I recently did a post about the bride’s details, but wanted to take a beat to talk about the groom’s details. There typically aren’t as many, but it is still nice to have them all together for when I arrive on your wedding day. Those details are still a part of your story, and deserve to be documented as well.
It’s easy to overlook when so much of the day is focused on the bride, but the groom’s details are a part of the story of your day. And, I really love to photograph details – so the more the merrier!
What are the groom’s details?
Typically the groom’s details are the tie or bow tie, shoes, cuff links, watch, pocket square, and his ring of course. His belt and shoes can also be included for detail photos. If they have fun socks, those are nice to commemorate as well. For our wedding, Justin got all of the guys Royals socks. We put a lot of thought into Justin’s details, and I would hate it if we hadn’t documented them just as much as my details.
