Favorite five coffee drinks

It is no secret that I love coffee. I drink it every morning (or suffer a dreaded caffeine-withdrawal headache), and sometimes even throughout the day. I especially love the smell of coffee. For this week’s Favorite Five post, I wanted to share a few of my favorite coffee drinks and recipes with you. Read on for a bit of insight into the fuel that keeps me working long after I’ve headed home from my full-time job and helps me recover from the late nights blogging and editing. 🙂

1. Iced coffee

I love iced coffee so very much. Probably because of how quickly I can drink it and get the caffeine into my system. This can be home brewed iced coffee, or if I stop and grab one from McDonald’s one my way into the office. When I brew it at home, I use our french press. It’s just normal coffee grounds and cold water, placed in the refrigerator over night. Then, in the morning, push the filter down and pour over ice!

2. Regular coffee from the pot

I drink coffee every morning. Since I tend to make it quite strong, I also enjoy it with french vanilla creamer. I will drink it black, but I will drink a lot more of it with the creamer. 🙂

3. White Mocha from Starbucks

I prefer this iced, but sometimes during the colder months, a warm one will do. Since we don’t have a Starbucks in our town of 2,000, and it’s a bit pricier – this is a treat when we are out and about.

4. Gloria Jean’s Iced White Mocha

Getting a 32-ounce one of these bad boys while wandering about the Independence mall is always a highlight of any shopping experience. Definitely with no whip cream. It’s still a white mocha, but not the same as Starbucks, and the perfect amount to get me through spending time in the mall.

5. Iced Blended Americano

Another Starbucks drink, and something I enjoy when a mocha feels too heavy. This one has a slushy-like texture, and is really great on a hot summer day when I need a caffeine boost.
