I am so happy to be sharing this colorful spring wedding inspiration at Emerson Fields with you today!! Emerson field is one of my all-time favorite venues. I absolutely love photographing anything there. Amelia and Steve are incredible, and Amelia actually used to be a wedding photographer so when she was designing her venue she really thought about what would make the best photos and that’s just one of the million things that makes the whole experience so wonderful.

Colorful spring wedding inspiration at Emerson Fields

It was sometime last fall, maybe early winter, when Amelia emailed about the Styled Sorbet Soirée that she was inviting us all to. The color palette was unbelievably dreamy, and the list of vendors who are going to be participating was just top-notch. It was an incredible experience and I mean, yes, sunny weather would have made it cool to be able to go outside and take pictures, but oh my goodness it was still so much fun. I’m so grateful for getting to spend time with other vendors in a relaxed environment!

We all ate lunch together family style at a big table before the event  really started, and we got to connect, get to know some new people, and enjoy some incredibly delicious food by Nolan’s Catering. It was just phenomenal, unbelievably delicious, and then we took off into our separate little groups. I worked with Sam and she was absolutely incredible. We swapped some headshots – which is always super fun. Then we spent the day with three incredible models who were just so wonderful to work with and it was just an overall wonderful time. 

I love getting to go to styled sessions and create just for me and try things like double exposures or motion blur and whatever else might be kind of trendy right now that I’m not going to want to practice during a real session or wedding. Practicing beforehand means I know I’m getting my clients the best stuff and once I’ve mastered it I can break it out at sessions and weddings.
