June was a busy month full of T-ball games and birthday celebrations – not to mention couples league and my first full wedding to photograph. It has been a crazy summer, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. As a Concordia, Missouri photographer I know how important it is to try to capture every moment.
Justin went to a Royals game with his dad and brothers when we got back from California (see photos from our amazing trip here).
The first weekend in June was the annual Tig Ol’ Bitties wine tour. The Tig Ol’ Bitties are a breast cancer support and awareness group I am part of in Concordia, Missouri. We raise money to donate to the Avon organization by participating in the Avon39. The wine tour is one of our biggest fundraisers. We rent four buses to drive to four local wineries in a rotation, so no two buses are at the same winery at the same time.
We spent multiple nights a week at the ballpark watching Squirt play t-ball and all of the other entertainment involved when you have multiple five-year olds in a large group. There was a lot of playing in the dirt, running the wrong way, and giggles to be had as the kids ran the bases and were able to talk with members of the other team.
We had Squirt one Wednesday evening and had purchased a kit for him to be able to build his own monster truck. With Justin’s help, he was able to finish it and we painted it red, his favorite color. As a Concordia, Missouri photographer, I love lifestyle photography. I love that it captures the everyday moments in a way that allows them to be cherished forever.
Squirt’s fifth birthday party was at my Mom and Dad’s house. Justin built him his very own, one-of-a-kind kitchen. I helped attach the fixings, but Justin did the majority of the work.
It was a pool party, like most of Squirt’s birthday parties. All of the little ones had similar floaties and moved about the pool at their own leisure.
Squirt had a ball game on his birthday, and the lighting was amazing!
Papa’s birthday was also celebrated this month. We all gathered for dinner at my aunt and uncles house and had a great time bird watching on their deck.
My Grandma threw her sister a 90th birthday party on the last Sunday in June and it was great to see everyone get together to celebrate her wonderful life.
