Yaman {Bellies & Babies} – Missouri Maternity Photographer

Megan and Yusuf came to Higginsville on Sunday for their maternity session. We laughed about our mutual awkwardness and made sure to celebrate the little girl they are going to be welcoming into the world soon. These two are such an adorable couple and I am positive they will be amazing parents.

I have started creating shared Pinterest boards with my clients as a way to get a feel for the type of session they want. This way, we have a sense of direction when starting the shoot and can plan our locations accordingly. We drove from one end of Higginsville to another for our three different locations, and I am so happy with the images from each of them. We tried to put as much emphasis on the baby bump as possible, but still capture the love the couple shares for each other.

The Yaman’s were up for anything location wise and we improvised a couple times when they saw something (like a tractor) they thought would be cute. As a Missouri maternity photographer, finding locations that offer variety is so important. Yusuf climbed on fences and sat on a tractor, we all waded through tall grass and risked bug bites, but at the end of the session we were all happy with the results. My favorite from the session would have to be when we were at the barn and Megan and Yusuf were holding hands while their arms were wrapped around Megan’s baby bump. This is a photo the couple said they definitely wanted for their daughter’s nursery and I was so happy to be able to provide them with what they requested.

Megan’s sister, Lindsey, and Lindsey’s daughter, Maely, accompanied us for the session. Maely even snuck into a couple photos. I love that the session was a family affair, and Maely’s presence provided us with entertainment, as always.
