The Story of Us: Preparing for our wedding

We have been engaged for over a year, and preparing for our wedding started pretty soon after that. We tended to agree on things rather quickly, and it made it easy to get through the checklists. However, this week – this is where it all gets put to the test. This post is going to be a bit light on the photos though, because I don’t want to ruin the wow factor. 🙂

The dance floor has been built, there are lights up around it and today the tents arrived. We have a list and some duties have been assigned. However, with it being an outdoor wedding, only so much decorating can happen before Saturday morning.

Preparing has felt a little bit like another full-time job, what with all the details and lists and everything that goes into a wedding. We have been meeting with and booking vendors since October 2016, and in just a few days, it all comes together. I don’t even know how to sum up what this week has been like.

My parents are amazing, and they have really helped bring our vision for this amazing day to life. I cannot thank them enough. Our wedding party members are awesome, and so incredibly supportive. We are so honored to have them all standing by our side.

I can’t wait to marry him. The fact that we get to do it in such a sentimental way (more on that after the wedding) just makes me so incredibly happy.

Thank you for going through this journey with me. The series title is going to change to The Adventures of JI and Kels – which is a play off our wedding hashtag, #adventuresofJIandKels.
