Keaston turned four this summer and we took some photos to capture a few of the things he enjoys as a four year old, like dinosaurs and reading.
We did these in two different sessions, as you can tell from the hair cut. I was watching Keaston one night, and Karley was supposed to have to work. Since it had rained that day, she had the evening off from the golf course and I was left with a time crunch of trying to get some photos of a somewhat cooperative, mostly more interested in anything else four year old. We were able to get some images that night, but most of my favorites come from the weekend morning shoot.
I knew he wouldn’t be thrilled about taking photos again, so I brought plenty of bribes. I had party poppers, bubbles, a variety of older cameras for him to play with. He LOVED the cameras, which made me extremely happy. Until he cried when I put them away.
As a Missouri Children’s Photographer, I know working outdoors can be distracting for young ones. I try to come prepared with all kinds of things to keep their attention, and bribes for when my gimmicks run out.
If you look at the last photo, this was his sentiment by the end. He was ultimately a good sport about it all, especially since we had activities to do while taking the photos.
His sentiment or not, I’ll take photos of this kid every chance I get. He is so much fun to be around and I love watching him grow!
