We work to create a timeline for your wedding day, but life happens and sometimes things get a little off. It’s okay. I promise we will make everything work. However, to give us the best chance of staying on time, I have three tips to help you when preparing for your wedding day. I would love to help you minimize stress and maximize the good parts of your day. 🙂
- The window area – I’m going to need that area to get that gorgeous natural light on you, bride. We are going to want to keep all the bags and food away from there, and from any clean (no paintings, knick knacks, pictures), neutral colored (white, tan, light gray) walls.
- I recommend not going last to get your hair and makeup done. Hair and makeup are two areas of the day where the timeline can get screwy, and it’s not anyone’s fault. Things happen, but if you go somewhere in the middle of the pack – and your mom/sisters need to go first/in the middle as well – then when it’s time to get your dress on we can stay on time.
- Have all of your details and the groom’s details with you. I typically take all the detail photos on the day so if you have them all together in one place, we save time by not having to track them down. Examples of details are the rings, invitations, perfume, other jewelry, veil, shoes, gifts, tie, bow tie, watch, belt, his shoes, a pocket square, etc.
I hope this helps you when preparing for your wedding day! Please let me know if you have any questions about the best ways to stick to the timeline. 🙂
