My favorite photo session locations in Kansas City | Missouri wedding photographer

When scheduling your session we need more than just the best time of day to schedule it. And that is why I want to share with you my favorite photo session locations in Kansas City! There are plenty of locations outside this list that are AWESOME for photos, and so many places I’d still love to explore. These are just a few of my tried and true, favorite locations, and I think you’ll see why.

Loose Park

Loose Park is a popular choice among KC photographers for photos! The Rose Garden is gorgeous, there is a huge variety of trees, some bridges over the pond and so many options for photos. We do need a permit to go here, so there is an additional fee, and I highly recommend a morning session to beat the crowds!!

The National WW1 Monument and Museum

White stone steps, a wonderful view of the city, tree lined sidewalks – there are so many options here! I love scheduling sessions here, and we even had our maternity photos for Scout taken here!

The West Bottoms

This is a great location for a more urban vibe with plenty of brick and stone walls, some murals, and a lot of cool architecture. I do not know how the somewhat recent news of an out-0f-state developer possibly renovating the area will change these things, but for now it is still a fun spot!

Two bonus photo session locations in Kansas City I’d love to go to

Nelson Atkins Museum and the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts are two locations I would LOVE to schedule a session at!! For Nelson Atkins, no permit is needed for photos outdoors, but the property is closed if they have a wedding or event. For the Kauffman, you do need a permit requested at least two weeks in advance for photos outside and they have to approve it/not have any events planned that night. 🙂

I hope this was helpful for you when deciding on the best photo session locations in Kansas City! If you’d like for me to capture your wedding or family memories, I’d love for you to contact me HERE!
