Mallary + Justin | Engaged

The weather finally cooperated on partly cloudy but no rain, warm but not hot afternoon. This spring has been so full of ups and downs. We walked through the woods, talking about how much had changed since I had last been to there. Shady jumped over fallen trees and logs, happy to explore. As we trekked across a bed of pine needles we found the perfect spot for their photos. And while they were supposed to be married by now, it was nice to celebrate their engagement in this way.

Due to COVID-19, Mal and Justin had to postpone their May 2 wedding, but we were excited for their Burr Oaks engagement session!! It was a gorgeous day, and their outfits were perfect. I just loved Mallary’s dress!! And Shady was just adorable. She was so excited to be someplace new. You guys, I adore these two people, and their dog! Fun fact: I met Justin on the same float trip that I met my husband, Justin, on in 2012 – so we’ve known each other for a while – and I am so excited for he and Mallary to tie the knot!

The perfect dress, an adorable pup, and Justin’s awesome taste in engagement rings made this Burr Oaks engagement session just down right incredible.

Mallary and Justin, I can’t thank you enough for choosing me to be the one to capture these moments for you! My Justin and I are so excited for your wedding day, and we know it’s going to be gorgeous and incredible and an absolute blast. I hope you guys love your pictures, and give Shady some head scratches for me!
