Happy birthday sweet husband of mine!

To my husband on your 35th birthday,

I hope today is everything that a birthday should be – full of anything you want to do and a minimal amount of things you have to do.

I have never loved you more. It’s true. Everyday in this life – even the ones when we sit on the couch being bums – is better with you. We have weird inside jokes (mainly because we are weird), and I laugh more with you than with anyone else. You listen to my stories, even when I accidentally end up giving you a monologue about something ridiculous and trivial. You put up with my irrational temper, and when I know I am being a little bit crazy. When I’m having a bad day, you greet me in the kitchen with open arms; and I know that I don’t have to face those days alone.

To me, you are perfect. I’m not saying we are “perfect,”  but that we are perfect together. We both agree that a happy marriage does not mean we live in the honeymoon stage forever, but that when trials and tribulations come we work together to get through them. We communicate – just like all of the marriage advice we received suggested we do.

So I hope you have had an absolutely incredible birthday, complete with the tradition of making you a strawberry cake with CoolWhip. I love you so very much.
