The sun was high as we made our way through the soggy grass, around a few trees and down a deer path towards some gorgeous blooming dogwood trees. Their spring blooms family photos were the best way to kick off a Sunday full of mini sessions.
Devin actually found the path for us to get to the dogwood trees without getting completely soaked. They didn’t know they would be out for a nature hike to get some photos taken. Funnily enough, I couldn’t find it again when I was taking other families to the spot throughout the day.
A few fun facts: Jessica actually used to be my neighbor way back when her family first moved to Higginsville, and Devin and I are related. (And if he looks familiar, his brother, Derek, and his family had a session last fall.) Their daughters are both so great, and Riley was amazing at making everyone laugh. McKenna graduated at semester and she walks in May, I can still picture her in her grandparents front yard playing with her uncles… like the time Dustin had on a helmet as he let Kenna hit him in the head with a wiffle ball bat.
Devin and Jessica, thank you so much for participating in mini sessions this year! Your outfits were so perfect, and I am just in love with your photos. I hope you do too!
