I had such a great time with this family! They are always a great time and I love how full of laughter they all are. Whether they were giving each other a hard time or laughing at the goofy little ones, the session was full of smiles.
Scheduling family photos in December is always tricky, but we had a break from the cold and freezing rain on a Saturday morning. If only our luck had extended to allow for a gorgeous Missouri sunrise instead of cloud cover all morning. I met up with the Hacklers around 7:30 on the second Saturday of December to take some family photos. We were hoping the clouds would disperse to allow for some better lighting, but no such luck.
As a Concordia, Missouri Family Photographer, the fickle weather always provides and interesting challenge. It can be 70 on Monday and snowing on Wednesday, and can sometimes make schedule sessions well in advance difficult.
I enjoyed getting to work with Mamie and Derek again, and being able to revisit the red barn we used during their session. Since we had previously used the red barn for their anniversary photos, we tried to mix things up by using another outbuilding on the property. You can see their anniversary session at http://www.rockybranchphotography.com/hackler-family-missouri-family-photographer/
I loved the variety of photos I was able to get from the session just from the different combinations of people.
