Gift ideas for the holidays – Photo gifts for your family

Have you thought of how you’d like to gift the people in your life? The holiday season is upon us, and I am not trying to skip over Thanksgiving AT ALL. But, if you want things here in time for all the Christmas celebrations, we have to order soon! This year has practically flown by, and I am still trying to get gifts together for those near and dear to me. I have a few suggestions for you if you’re struggling like I am go come up with the perfect thing to give.

Wall art

I love having canvases on our walls. Right now, we have one of our engagement photos and another from our wedding. We also have one of Justin with his brothers and dad. I love the clean look without the frame, and I love having such large photos on the wall reminding us of how amazing this year has been. Metal prints are also a really cool option if you’d like something a bit different. I love the vibrancy of metal prints, and think they are so great.

Prints from the year

Something I am trying this year is printing out a bunch of photos from the year to keep in a box on my bookshelf. These aren’t necessarily from a session, but more of everyday life. The year in photos, kept all together to be looked at and cherished. Like my #project365 photos. ๐Ÿ™‚

Ornaments

This could become an annual tradition. Provide your family members with a small something they can get out every year to hang on their tree. They can compare the way your family grows from year to year. No frames to hang or change is also a plus. I love to gift these to my clients!!

Albums

A perfect way to get a ton of photos in one really great place. I love layflat albums!! The album can include all the photos from a session, and some can even be spread across both pages because the layflat album doesn’t bubble in the middle and lose part of the picture. ๐Ÿ™‚

Session gift certificates

Do you need to update your family photos? I have gift certificates. They can be for the whole session, or an amount to put towards a session, and expire one year after the date they were issued, so you have all kinds of time to get something planned. ๐Ÿ™‚
