Five goals I have for my business

Growing my business has always been important to me. I have set certain goals that I would like to accomplish. A way to mark success, if you will. These may not mean much to some, but for me they are milestones to hit and to be proud of as they are checked off the list. Let me know what you think in the comments, or if you’re interested in hiring me as a destination wedding photographer, because that would be awesome to check off the list. 🙂

1. To get a wedding or styled session published in a magazine

I love seeing my photos in print, and to see them in a magazine would be incredible. There are several that I would love to be in, and I’d prefer a styled session over a real wedding. For most, the images can’t go online until after the magazine publishes, and since I like to get my couples their photos as soon as possible, that would be tricky.

2. To be consistent with blogging

So far the past couple of weeks, I have been blogging on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. I want to make it more of a priority, and I have even planned out a calendar all the way through January. The goal is to stick with it and to pre-blog or batch blog. Meaning I write the blogs that I can ahead of time and get them scheduled so I am able to consistently put out new content, but not be tied to my computer.

3. To photograph 25 weddings in a year

To book 25 weddings in a year would be ideal. I would love to consistently work on weddings all year, but not have to work all 52 weekends of the year. I’d be open to more, but definitely not all 52. 🙂

4. To shoot a destination wedding in Europe

I would love to be a destination wedding photographer, especially if it meant photographing a wedding in France or Italy. I love to travel, but traveling and photographing a wedding would be a dream come true!

5. To intentionally serve my couples

This is the most important goal I have. By intentionally serve, I mean I want to focus on my clients and what the need. I want to put their happiness and joy first on their wedding day so they can have the best day possible. I want to serve my couples to the best of my ability, and I think that is a goal worth having.
