Favorite five things about our Higginsville outdoor wedding

So crazy that we have almost been married a month! From our vows, to everyone who was a part of the day, it was absolutely amazing. I’ve listed my five favorite things about our Higginsville outdoor wedding, and it was hard because the whole day and night are my favorite. Let me know what you think (or what your favorite was) in the comments. 🙂

1. Our vows

I love that we wrote our vows. We followed the same format, but having something personal we each said to each other was so amazing. I’m getting a little teary-eyed just thinking about them. For those of you who couldn’t hear them, here they are!

Justin: I promise to support you
I promise to listen
I promise to be photo filler
I promise that I will love you
I vow to be faithful
I vow to be honest
I vow to maybe let you have another dog someday
I vow that I will love you
I believe you were put in my life for a reason
I believe you’re the best thing for me
I believe that this is the first great day of many
I believe that I will always love you

Kelsey: I promise to hold your hand as often as possible
I promise to consult with you before coming home with any more dogs.
I promise to always kiss you goodbye.
I promise that I will love you
I vow to be your partner and equal through everything life throws at us
I vow to listen to all of your stories, problems and jokes
I vow to trust you with everything.
I vow that I will love you
I believe that you are the best person I know.
I believe that our marriage will be more beautiful than our wedding day.
I believe that when I’m with you, I’m home.
I believe that I will always love you

2. Dancing the night away

Seriously, the dance floor was packed all night, and I loved it!! One of my uncles told me he thinks I dance better with my camera in my hand. Maybe true? I just know I had the time of my life. (And that maybe I sang that in my head as I typed it.) Our DJ was Roy, with Crystal Entertainment.

3. The GIF booth

The gallery for this has me cracking up ALL THE TIME! I don’t think I will ever get bored watching these. My hope is that everyone loved it as much as we did. 🙂 Seriously, The Photo Bus did not disappoint!

4. Our photographers

Mike and Julie were incredible all day. With everything from details, to getting ready to our wedding party photos and family formals to the reception – I am so grateful you both were a part of our day.

5. Mostly, thank you to everyone who was kind enough to celebrate with us and be a part of our day

I don’t think we will ever be able to say thank you enough to everyone who helped us prepare for our wedding day. With rain throughout the week and the morning of our Higginsville outdoor wedding, we were a bit worried. Without the army that was present in the morning, I’m not sure what we would have done. Thank you to my parents for everything they did leading up to and on the big day. Thank you to Justin’s parents, because we could not have done it without them. To my grandpas – thank you so much for agreeing to marry us. Thank you to Justin for agreeing to write our vows.

Thank you to our wedding party for standing up with us and being a part of the celebration. To my cousins – thank you for videoing the ceremony and manning the guest book. Thank you to my aunts and family members for decorating the reception. To our guests – thank you for coming and blessing us by being a part of it all. Thank you, thank you, thank you. It was one heck of a day that I will cherish forever.

BONUS: Our cake topper!

And a bonus favorite – because seriously we loved it so much. Justin LOVES bobble heads, and we just couldn’t resist.
