Favorite five things about milestone sessions

Milestone sessions, or the 3-month, 6-month, 9-month and one year sessions, after a baby is born are so much fun. There are so many great things about these sessions, and I think documenting your baby’s growth is so important. Read on for my favorite five things about these types of sessions. πŸ™‚

1. Being able to see and compare the changes

Babies change so much in that first year, and being able to compare the changes from newborn, to 3-month, 6-month and so on is so great. Being able to see their little personalities develop, the struggle when they are crawling to get them to hold still for photos – it is all a part of that first year and should be documented.

2. Getting to reconnect with the families

I love getting to know new people and when I get to see them regularly to semi regularly it feels more like building a friendship instead of working with a client. Especially if the new baby has older siblings, it is so amazing to see how much they have grown as well.

3. The variety of photos

We are meeting four times a year, and covering all the seasons! How many other times do you have four photo sessions a year? Meeting every three months creates so many opportunities. Spring flowers, summer greenery, fall colors and perhaps even some snow. πŸ™‚

4. Milestone sessions are a great way to create a “yearbook”

When we are done documenting your baby’s first year, let’s create an album with photos from all of the sessions! It will be so great to look back on that entire first year in one place.

5. I am a baby hog

Seriously though, any chance I get to spend more time with all the babies, the better. I love their little wrist rolls, and their giggles, and watching as they learn new things. πŸ™‚
