Favorite Five things about being engaged – Concordia, Missouri Photographer

We have been engaged for quite a while now, and while it has been a whirlwind of planning and such, I am loving being engaged. It seems like time is flying by, and I just wanted to take a minute to bask in our engagement. And, to tell you about my five favorite things. (Also, the photos are all from our engagement session with JSi Photography.)

1. I love having a partner

I have found my other half, my best friend, my biggest supporter. He knows how to cheer me up or calm me down – without ever telling me to “calm down” because when has that phrase calmed anyone down ever? Knowing we will spend the rest of our lives together is the best thing ever.

2. Planning for the future

We talk about where we hope life takes us, and what we want to accomplish in the future. We discussed some of these things prior to being engaged, but there’s always that iffy ground, if that makes sense? There used to be a lot mores “ifs” instead of “whens.”

3. Imagining our big day

This one is so fun to talk about. Getting to imagine where everything will go and how it will all look is so exciting!

4. The wedding party

This one is more about friends, and how we are doing more together or communicating more to plan the big day – like bridesmaid dress shopping, or picking out shoes. But, I love getting to spend time with them to celebrate.

5. The planning.

I know it’s crazy, and hectic, and overwhelming, but I love it. I love knowing that we are planning it together, and that they day will be the way we both want it. We discuss and decide things together, which I think is the perfect way to go about it.
