“You look beautiful,” he said as he held her hands. “I’m so glad I waited. Give me a twirl!” She laughed, twirled and then hugged him close. She told him he looked great. They both looked so excited to see each other. And so the day continued – everyone was there to celebrate Molly and Darin and the love they share.
Molly and Darin’s wedding day was full of laughter and joy, from the first look and photos with their pup, Benny, to the speeches during the reception. Murray, Molly’s father, said he gave Darin a run for his money when he wanted to ask Murray’s permission for Molly’s hand in marriage. He said when Darin asked him to meet up, he included two smiley faces in the message, and that Murray just wasn’t comfortable with that many emojis. Murray said then when he and Darin were speaking in person, he kept jokingly changing the subject whenever Darin would try to ask the question.
Jeremy, the best man, turned his speech into a drinking game – asking everyone to take a drink anytime he said the bride or groom’s names. The maid of honor, Courtney, spoke of almost 27 years of friendship. She talked of not knowing when something might be happening for the last time so it’s hard to cherish it – but knowing it was her last time staying the night with Molly Sander when Molly asked her to stay with her the night before the wedding. It was an honor to get a glimpse into the friendships Molly and Darin had cultivated over the years and to get a glimpse into their lives through the eyes of two of their best friends.
