Getting your groom on board with all the photos

This may not apply to all grooms, but I just wanted to give a little advice for getting your guy on board (and/or prepared) for all the photos on your wedding day, and during your engagement session. Your groom may not be as excited about all of the pictures as you are, but I’m hoping to help change his mind. 🙂 So, take a gander at all these groom photos and prepare to get prepared!

Prepare your groom before the engagement session

This one is important because if they know what to expect, they won’t be surprised by the amount of photos. Go through a few blog posts and show him some of your favorite sessions. If he knows that it’s a mixture of interactions, movement and smiling at the camera, he will be prepared when I ask him to nuzzle or spend more time looking at you than at the camera. 🙂

You are both more photogenic than you think

Seriously. I have a strategy for every session to make you both look your best! My hope is to capture images that show your love and affection for one another at the engagement session and throughout your wedding day. Just relax and trust that I have your back on this one.

Remind him it’s his day too

Many people joke with the groom about it being the “bride’s day,” but I don’t feel like that is the case. Two people are getting married. He is committing just as much as you are, so remind him that these photos are just as much for him, and they are a way to memorialize your wedding day for generations to come.

I hope all of this was helpful, and let me know what you think in the comments! 🙂
