A Gorgeous Wedding and Reception on a Stillwater, Minnesota Riverboat

The sun was peaking through the trees as he waited to see her. As she walked close to him, the train of her wedding dress trailing behind, she called out. He turned around and the smile on his face was contagious. The joy was radiating from them as Aaron and Jess saw each other for the first time on their wedding day.

This wedding was extra special to me since it was family! Aaron and Jess’s day was absolutely perfect – even when the best man may have accidentally dropped Aaron’s ring after they were blessed. The church was filled with laughter as the ring continued to bounce, and Aaron and Jess were almost doubled over with the hilarity of it all.

Like most July weddings, the day was a bit warm. Their Minnesota wedding did allow for some cooler temperatures and less humidity than what we are used to, so that was nice. We started early in the morning due to the 2 p.m. ceremony, and we were able to crank out almost all of the photos, including some family formals, before the ceremony. Family formals were a bit interesting this time since I had to be in one, and luckily a sweet bridesmaid stepped up to help.

Aaron and Jess, thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your day! I had so much fun capturing all the moments of your wedding and it was such a blessing to be there for all of it. 🙂 You guys were amazing and so great to work with, and I hope you love your photos!
