Day fifteen: June 18, 2015. Tonight we had couples league. I didn’t play the best, so I’m sure Justin’s back hurt from carrying the team. I used my 50 mm lens with Banner before we went to play. We finished right before the sky opened up and we almost had to swim home. It was intense. And I just came back in from taking Banner out, had to grab my camera and run outside to try to get a decent picture of the sky right now because it is amazing. I ended up getting my first silhouette shot. 🙂
Day sixteen: June 19, 2015. My new lens came today!! All of my photos were taken with my new 85 mm F/1.4 and I am so in love. It’s a manual focus, so I’m still learning a bit, but it’s pretty nice. I took this photo of Banner as soon as I attached it to my camera.
Justin came with me to the barn to feed and then we stopped by an antique shop for some photo props. Well, I was there for photo props. Justin was looking for barstools. I did get some things, but we also found a gorgeous coffee table and purchased that. I also found this sweet Brownie camera.
Day seventeen: June 20, 2015. Today has been an interesting day. It started with finishing my nephew’s 4-year photo session. Neither his mother or I realized the outfit we put him in was the exact same outfit from the previous photos I tried to do to surprise her. Oh well. It’s a dinosaur shirt and he picked it, so that’s all that matters.
He LOVED my old cameras and had me show him how to release the shutter on all of them.
The day was a mix of highs and lows. Pictures with Squirt and the coffee table is in my living room. Dropped my laptop on my face giving myself a black eye and then broke a mirror. Like I said, interesting day.
Day eighteen: June 21, 2015. Banner was so good today while I worked on some Rocky Branch Photography things. I’m still trying to get the hang of the manual focus on my new lens, but it’s starting to come together. I have my first newborn shoot tomorrow. So excited!
Day nineteen: June 22, 2015. First newborn shoot went so well, even though I did get pooped on. It was a blast and I am so excited to get the photos edited.
Day twenty: June 23, 2015. This beautiful piece of work is the island/breakfast bar that Justin built for our kitchen. It is amazing and I can’t wait to have a couple bar stools and be able to use this gorgeous thing all the time.
Day twenty-one: June 24, 2015. I’ve decided to try something new and possibly add some hand lettering to the products I provide clients. Wish me luck!
