I cannot believe our baby is going to arrive this month. It feels like I have been pregnant forever and this time would never come. We are over 37 weeks, and it’s been a minute since I shared a bumpdate, and I wanted to share all about the baby shower!
In the past three months our little one has grown so much, we’ve finished the nursery (with exception to the pictures in the frames), and done so much to get the house as ready as we can for baby’s arrival. My pregnant belly is very large, and our baby is looking like they will be pretty big as well based on ultrasounds in the past few weeks.
For the nursery, an IKEA trip was needed. We went up the day after the baby shower so we could get the closet shelving and a few other things all set up so we could organized the baby’s room. (Pictures of the nursery to come later!) We also ended up getting another cabinet for the kitchen, which allowed for us to create a coffee station. Then we were able to move all of the coffee things out of the cabinet to make room for baby things. Always a plus.
We have done what we can, and now we are just counting down the days until the little one arrives. Any suggestions for us in these last few days!?
The baby shower
In October we were thrown a wonderful fiesta-themed baby shower by my sister, mom and cousin. Karley made churros and little cinnamon sugar tacos to go with a ton of fruit – and they were so delicious. Ashley made the amazing sugar cookies featured below! I mean, it was just so perfect. My family and friends are so sweet and generous. AND we served margaritas because they are my favorite. I just drank the “mom-a-rita,” also known as the margarita mix with zero alcohol in it. A ton of my favorite people were there and it was such a great afternoon.
A huge thank you to my cousin, Tori, for taking photos with my camera during the shower. 🙂
