One of the biggest things I think will help you prepare for your wedding day is a wedding prep checklist! Even if you’re not type A, I’m going to explain why this is a good idea. Does this sound like something you need? I’m here to help!! Below, I’m sharing 10 must haves on your wedding prep checklist!!
Why do you need a wedding checklist?
A checklist is a great way to ensure you have all your ducks in a row prior to your wedding day! I am a big fan of lists and of prep (type A all the way over here), and I truly believe it can help relieve some stress and anxiety before your big day. And who doesn’t want that on their wedding day!?
I’m not Type A – why would I do this?
And hey, I know not everyone shares my penchant for planning and prepping, but crossing these items off really will help your day go smoother. You don’t want to be worried about your vows, or to make sure you didn’t forget anyone for family formals. It’s a great idea to sit down with your planner or whoever is helping you with your wedding planning and have a game plan in place prior to your wedding day.
10 must haves for your wedding prep checklist
So, without further ado, here’s the 10 must haves for your wedding prep checklist:
- Family formal list
- A timeline for the day
- All of your details gathered in one place prior to the photographers arrival
- Parent + in law gifts
- Wedding party (+ring bearer/flower girl) gifts if you’re doing them
- Designated person in charge of your guestbook
- Plan for gifts + cards that guests bring to the reception (Where are they going? Who is going to make sure they get home?)
- Plan for the cake cutting (like, the actual servings of cake for your guests)
- Any exit plans finalized (sparklers, etc.) and supplies purchased
