Thanksgiving – 5 things I am thankful for this year

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite days of the year! We get to be surrounded by family, eating delicious food and thanking God for the lives we get to lead. To honor all that I am thankful for, I thought I’d list out five things I am thankful for this year. So, without further ado – let’s all dress up and hang out in the kitchen. 🙂

1. I am thankful for my husband.

Justin is my favorite person in the world. He puts up with my temper, knows how much it means to me when he gives me a hug after a hard day and most importantly he is so supportive of all of my/our dreams.

2. I am thankful for our house.

I know we talk often about when we get to build, but I love our house. No, it’s not perfect, but it’s ours. Justin bought this house in May of 2013, I moved into the house in December of 2014 and there are just so many great memories here. Just because it’s not what we will want forever does not mean I want to take for granted what we have now.

3. I am thankful for my family.

Talk about support systems! When someone in our family does something, we show up. We are there for each other and always celebrating each others successes. My Mom and Dad have always placed value on the time spent together with those we love and I am so grateful for the way they taught me to be there for others.

4. I am thankful for my clients.

I would not have a business without any of you. You are all so amazing, and I am so dang honored to be able to tell your stories. I love getting to know all of you and meeting your families on wedding days. I am grateful for every single one of you. 🙂

5. I am thankful for my friends.

Friends are the family we choose, and I have some of the best. At the risk of sounding lame, being friends as an adult is hard. You aren’t going to class or sporting events together. You have to make the time for those that are important to you (even if it’s scheduling a phone date weeks in advance) to keep up those connections. And my friends are worth it. I will always do my best to find the time for them and support them in any way I can. 🙂
