Rechterman Maternity | Golden hour in a Higginsville hay field

“Maclyn, where’s Kai?” we ask, as the not-quite-two-year-old rubs her own belly. Then she grins, and looks at her momma. “Kai,” she says as she rubs the baby bump; looking up at all of us smiling. She was full of giggles and amazing facial expressions that made our session go so smooth.

We met at a location that I have never photographed at before, but it so very special to me. Justin and I dream of building there someday, and I just love how gorgeous the view is as the sun goes down. Her dress was a gorgeous shade of blue, and we even let Maclyn pick out her own bow (after I may have shown her that one was my favorite.)

Kali and Jon, as always, thank you so much for letting me tell your story. I love you both, and it makes me so happy to be able to capture these moments for you. I am so excited for your little boy to arrive! It is going to be an amazing adventure. 🙂 Also, a huge shout out to Kali’s mom, Denise, for being the one to watch over Maclyn whenever she decided she needed a break from the photos! Enjoy your photos. 🙂
