Jason + Katie | Kansas City fall wedding and reception at The Everly Event Space

They knelt next to each other at the front of the church. Their wedding day was upon them, and all those they hold dear had gathered to watch them pledge their lives to each other. “Man your hands are cold,” he said. “Better than my feet!,” she replied. And I cannot think of a more perfect way to sum up Jason and Katie. They are loved and they love loving each other.

The sermon was perfect. The priest spoke about how Katie and Jason were made for each other – that God specifically destined the two of them to become man and wife. He spoke about how they were so loved that they had already been gifted with a kneeler for their future children. If there is one thing that was apparent all day long, it was how much Katie and Jason are cherished by all those around them.

Jason and Katie, we absolutely loved your wedding day! You braved the 37 degree (that felt like 25 degree) weather for photos – and Katie without a coat! We fought the wind with the veil, and with the help of amazing bridesmaids, we won. There were so many moments throughout the day that were full of smiles and laughter. Your trolly after the ceremony was full of joy and celebration. One of my favorite parts of the day was the reception and how all your friends came together on the dance floor to celebrate with you. It was packed all night and the music was perfect!

You guys, we are truly honored to have been a part of your day, and to be able to tell your story. Your wedding party, your families and your guests were all incredible. Above all, you are both so kind and easy going that it made your day a dream. I hope you’re enjoying your honeymoon, and congratulations again on becoming husband and wife! (Or, should I say #barmannandwife?)
