What you should expect when working with me

I run on coffee, terrible puns, and the comfort of two snuggling pups. I spend a whole lot of time behind a computer screen – editing, blogging, scheduling, planning, bookkeeping, etc. And as great as all that is to know, I want to go a little more in depth to explain what to expect when you’re working with me. I am going to be with you on one of the biggest days of your life, and I feel like it’s important we get to know each other. Don’t you?

1. I may ask you to meet for coffee. I love getting to know new people, especially potential clients, and I would love to take you out for coffee. I’m always looking for a valid excuse to add a little more caffeine consumption to my day. My husband might not agree because I get a little squirrelly after a few cups, but I’m here for it.

2. There will probably be some potentially slightly awkward moments on my part. I’m that person that says “you too!” when someone says happy birthday or the barista tells me to enjoy my coffee. Then, I usually just walk away shaking my head and laughing under my breath.

3. I understand that the poses I am suggesting might feel awkward (I’m looking at you, nuzzle). Please, please, please trust me on this. I would never ask you to do something if I didn’t think it would look amazing. You may think you’re not romantic or cuddly, but you’d be surprised. Just because a pose is romantic doesn’t mean it can’t also be fun. 🙂

4. The same could be said for some of the locations that I pick. I know they may not look like much, but the light is going to be incredible. It will have you saying, “We took that photo where?!” The photo below was in front of a sidewalk next to a bridge, with people coming and going. There are cars parked in the background. And I love it.

5. I tell absolutely terrible jokes. The laughter that follows is usually a pity laugh that will turn in to a real laugh as you feel sorry for my poor joke telling abilities. It’s okay though, I’ll take any laugh I can get. Just know that I’m sorry for subjecting you to such poor comedic material.

6. I also do a whole lot of fangirling, because when you nail or pose or look at each other just right, I can’t contain myself. I am that excited to be capturing images of you that I simply cannot help but gush over how great you look.
