2018 PRINT YOUR PHOTOS CHALLENGE

This is it. This is the year you are going to actually PRINT your photos. You take so many throughout the year of your family and friends, but they live on your cell phone. And then it crashes. Or you get a new one. But what happened to all your memories? Did you back them up to your computer? Or are they just gone?

Now, I know what you’re thinking. You’re not made of money and printing photos can add up. I hear you! I do. It just depends on the value you place on your memories. I don’t mean you have to print every photo, but that one right after your kid loses their first tooth? Or you capture your baby’s first smile? Aren’t you going to want that photo in ten or twenty years? And are you really going to want to scroll back that far to find it?

As a photographer it pains me to only see photos living in the digital world, with no real tangible prints. Sure sharing them with your friends and family online is great, but there are all kinds of studies that show printed photographs can help boost your child’s self-esteem. I think that is amazing!

So I present to you, the 2018 PRINT YOUR PHOTOS CHALLENGE. The objective is to start at the beginning of the year so that when December rolls around you aren’t terrified of the task that accompanies printing a year of pictures. It’s a four-day challenge to get you on the right track to print your photos from 2018.

Here are some tips to help you stay organized throughout the year to make this as painless as possible.

  1. Create a “Favorites” folder for each month on your computer or an album on your phone. Once a week or once a month, go through and add your photos to your favorites folder/album. Add a reminder to your phone once a month so you remember to do this!
  2. To make the process more cost effective, don’t wait until December to print. Maybe print once a month or once a quarter.
  3. If you sign up for the newsletters at different consumer printing labs they send out information about when they are having different sales. Take advantage of them!

Sign up for the challenge here to get 5 tips on how to preserve your memories through photographs! This freebie gives you ideas on how to print and display your photographs in a way that will work for your family! You should want to print your photos. I just want to make it easy.
